“What’s in the Hope Collection; an overview of the important decorative arts collection of the Historic Hope Foundation.”
The 2019 Ives Lecture will bring back to light the incredible collection found at Hope Plantation. This open discussion format will highlight the more important pieces we have, and will hopefully shed light on what is one of the most incredible collections found in the south. We will be looking closely at locally made furnishings from the 18th and 19th century, and discussing their interesting histories.
Come join us Saturday, February 23 beginning at 10 a.m. Tickets cost $40 and include a lecture hosted by Volunteer Curator Andrew Ownbey, lunch, and an up close and in-depth tour of the collection. Proceeds will benefit the Historic Hope Foundation. To RSVP, contact the visitor center at 252-794-3140 or email Joe Cooper at revjcooper@aol.com or Andrew Ownbey at andrewownbey@gmail.com.
