Educating Miss Stone – Women and Education in Federal ERA North Carolina

Women’s History Month Program
Speakers include:
Angela Thorpe, Acting Director, NC African American Historical Commission
Ms. Thorpe will be talking about slavery and education in Early Federal North Carolina.
Dr. Angela Thompson – Associate Professor of History, East Carolina University
Dr. Thompson will be speaking about Cherokee women and religious groups in the education of Native Americans.
Program Cost: $40 which includes light breakfast and lunch.
Educators qualify for continuing education credits.
