Exploring Historic Graffiti & Folk Magic in Northeastern NC’s Early Architecture

On Saturday, April 29th, Reid Thomas, Restoration Specialist with the Restoration Services Branch of the State Preservation Office, and a member of our Friends Committee, will speak on Exploring Historic Graffiti and Folk Magic in Northeastern North Carolina’s Early Architecture.  Most people are unaware that examples of historic graffiti can be found on the King-Bazemore house.

Please register and pay by April 24th. $20 per person which includes Presentation and Lunch.

Our Tours are Resuming on Monday, April 2rd

Our regularly scheduled tours will resume on Monday, April 3rd. Our tours are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and begin at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 2:00 pm and last approximately 90 minutes. Tours for groups of 4 or more can be scheduled on days we are otherwise closed. We request that you call or email at least 72 hours in advance to arrange your tour.

Ives Lecture – Postponed to April 15th

Due to Illness, the Ives Lecture, scheduled for this Saturday, April 1st, will be postponed until Saturday April 15th. If you have registered for the lecture and cannot attend on the 15th and would like a refund, please call us at 252-794-3140. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
