Historic Hope Foundation is excited to announce that we will be open for Tours of the newly interpreted Hope Mansion decorated for Christmas from December 5th – December 11th at 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 2:30 pm for $6 per person. Come and join us for our annual program where we discuss the diverse origins of African American, Native American, and European families Bertie County and the Roanoke Chowan area from the 16th century to their current genealogical connections.
We will have lots of activities for people of all ages. Get a chance to visit encampments of Confederate and Federal troops and observe what camp life must have been like. See demonstrations of weaving, spinning, glassblowing, and other period activities. This event is free of charge. Tours of the mansion are available for a fee of only $8.00 per person.
