Join us for our annual Family History & Genealogy Fair! This event is on Saturday, September 5th with registration and continental breakfast starting at 9:30 am.
Any of you who have lived, farmed, hunted, and/or fished (or have ancestors who have) in the Cashie Neck will find Bob Bowling’s history of the Cashie Neck and the people who lived there enthralling. Equally interesting will be Angie Collins presentation on black families from Bertie and nearby counties who moved to Liberia in the 19th century. Many built homes very similar to houses on plantations where they lived, Liberty Hall and Hope, for example.
